Rotating Transformers
With increasing demands from power systems and electronic devices with electromechanical elements, such as the movement towards electric vehicles, power and signal transfer on rotating components is becoming increasingly important.
WDBR Resistor Series from TT Electronics
WDBRs are thick film planar power resistors on steel which offer a high pulse withstand capability, this combined makes them great for high demand applications such as dynamic motor braking and industrial welding.
21 Years of No Non-Conformances, Whatever The Scope!
Gateway are pleased to announce that we have recently undertaken an ISO recertification audit with United Registrar of Systems (URS) to cover all the areas of our design and manufacturing services. We are delighted to say that we continue to have no non-conformities, making this the 21st consecutive year.
PCIM 2022
Gateway are excited to announce that we will be exhibiting at the PCIM show in Nuremberg, Germany – our team would love to see you there, so read on to find out more about what to expect!
Ferrite in Automotive
The automotive industry is huge and the technology involved is constantly evolving from the initial “Benz Patent-Motorwagen” first presented in 1886 to the modern day Tesla Model 3 - a lot has happened and the technology involved is significantly different.
Power in Green Energy
Wind turbines produce a good amount of energy and are becoming a larger source of the overall power supply each year with more and more wind farms being constructed. However, several studies have shown that wind turbines are sources of significant levels of interharmonics.
Ferrite Sheets
Ferrite sheets provide the benefits of traditional soft-magnetic materials whilst providing far more flexibility and versatility, freeing you from the typical mechanical constraints of Ferrite cores. Typically well suited for RFID and EMC protection due to its flexible nature and minimal material thickness (typically less than 0.2mm), Ferrite sheets can also improve the efficiency of wireless power transfer.
Snyper Graphyte Has Evolved!
The Snyper range from Siretta is full of powerful devices allowing users to detect a wide range of cellular frequencies whilst also providing a breakdown of network provider, signal strength and more! All of the models are capable of this however the Graphyte is the “crème de la crème” coming with every feature you could ever want or need from a signal analyser.
Custom Ferrites for Busbars
As industry evolves and has increasing demands on performance and speed of electronic systems whilst simultaneously reducing costs, these requirements are most noticeable when looking at power transmission. As technology advances a simple solution is actually the answer, using wiring harnesses is becoming a thing of the past and the use of busbars is paving the way for the future of lower cost and higher reliability.
New Machine and Warehouse Expansion
Gateway have made another significant investment within their UK based Machine Shop, by adding a new machine. The Haas Super Mini Mill 2 is a 3-axis CNC Milling machine that has allowed The Machine Shop to expand their capacity and capabilities, cutting their lead times in half on custom geometry cores!
