SirettaSPARK: A Walkthrough Guide

SirettaSPARK is a tool developed by Siretta, designed to simplify the process of keeping your devices up to date with the latest software and firmware. This is important to ensure that your device can continue running optimally. In addition to performing updates, SirettaSPARK is also able to conduct diagnostics tests – the information collected from this can be used by Siretta’s support team in the event that you should experience any unexpected problems with your device. SirettaSPARK works on any PC running Windows 10 or Windows 11.

The following devices are supported by SirettaSPARK:

  • SNYPER Cellular Network Analysers

  • SENTRY Intelligent Network Analysers

  • SL500 Intelligent Industrial Modems

  • ZETA Industrial Modems

In this walkthrough guide, we will take you through the steps needed to connect and update your Snyper-IoT Graphyte device. If you would prefer a video guide, you can watch our walkthrough video on YouTube.

How to Set up SirettaSPARK

Create a Siretta Portal Account

If you haven’t already, make sure to create an account on the Siretta portal. This will give you access to a unique key that links SirettaSPARK to your account. It should be noted that the login created here can also be used on both SirettaLINK and Siretta’s CloudSURVEY – if you already have an account on one of these platforms, then you can use the same credentials to log into the Siretta portal. Once logged in, you can find the download link to the latest version of SirettaSPARK.

Install SirettaSPARK

After clicking the download link, you should see SirettaSPARK.exe appear. Open the application and you will be prompted to enter a key – this is found in your Siretta portal and will only need to be entered the first time that the application is run. Click “Ok” and your account will be linked. Once linked, your details will be displayed under the “Active User” section.

Connect Your Device

To connect your Snyper-IoT Graphyte to SirettaSPARK, first hold the power button down on the device to turn it on. A blue LED will light up in the top corner of the device before the boot screen loads. You will then see a screen with a message that reads “To get started, visit www.siretta.com/go”. At this point, you should connect your device to a computer using the cable provided in the box. Open the SirettaSPARK application and click the “Connect device” button.

Install USB Drivers

The final step before being able to update the software and firmware on your device is to install the relevant USB drivers. With your device now connected, visit Siretta’s Software Library page. Here you will see a list of available USB device drivers – download the driver that corresponds to the operating system that you are using. Make sure that your device remains connected and turned on whilst the drivers are being installed.

How to Update Software/Firmware

Now that you have set up SirettaSPARK, you are ready to update your device. With the device connected, SirettaSPARK will display whether there are any available software and firmware updates. An update is available when the “Update” button is active – simply press the button and the updates will install automatically. It should also be noted that where both software and firmware updates are available, it is recommended that you update the software first. Once all software and firmware updates have been installed, the “Update” buttons will become inactive – your device is now up to date and you can press the “disconnect” button before unplugging your device from your computer.
